Furzehill Childcare Centre

Furzehill Childcare Centre prides itself on a vastly experienced and highly qualified workforce, with all 20 staff either undertaking or holding a relevant qualification in Childcare. Qualifications of the staff range from apprentice up to Level 6, with all staff expected to continue with their professional development whilst working for the organisation.

All staff attend in-house and Local Authority training and training specific to their roles i.e. SENCO and Early Communication. All staff who work directly with the children have completed food hygiene training, Paediatric First Aid and robust Safeguarding training.

We are proud that we retain staff at the setting and some staff have worked at the setting for more than 20 years! These experienced and valued staff members support and nurture newer members of the team to achieve their best and provide an outstanding provision for our community.

All of the staff are friendly, approachable and welcoming and will help to put you at ease when you make the decision to leave your children at our nursery. 

​

Staff work within key worker teams and each child when they start at the nursery will be allocated a key person who will meet with the parents and take on this important role of building an attachment with your child.

​

All staff hold a current enhanced DBS certificate and there are robust systems in place for recruitment of new members of the team.
